Melia Luxury Pet was founded in 1992 by Rebecca And David Volandt and named after our beloved pet Melia. We
remain a family owned company operating out of a 10,000 square foot studio just east of downtown Atlanta, GA with a
fully integrated ceramic shop as well as separate shops for metal and wood.
Melia specializes in unique, functional pet products for those animal owners and lovers who only want the best for their
furry friend. We offer the ultimate experience for pets and their owners.
The first product produced was a "Southern Style Corn biscuit Mix". This all natural cornmeal biscuit was successful in
Bloomingdales. Soon thereafter followed our invention of the Original Flavored Tennis Ball for Dogs. By applying an all
natural bakers grade spearmint extract to the felt of a regular tennis ball (top grade balls used by professional tennis
players ...i.e. more durable than most tennis balls sold for dog toys) we provide a unique way to use a toy that freshens a
dog's breath while they play with it! Our biscuits and the huge success of our Flavored Tennis Balls for Dogs dominated
the early years.
Today the company is primarily recognized for its ever-growing selection of home accessories. All of our products are
designed for innovation, functionality, and high quality. Our products also add flair to many parts of your home. No more
hiding the dog bowls before company arrives.
In our ceramic line, we are particularly proud of the personal touch every piece has. Every customer is assured that his
or her item has been personally inspected 6 times throughout the manufacturing process. Every piece is hand painted
and signed on the bottom by their particular artist. Personalization is a large part of our business and is one of our
specialities.
In metal, we strive to be innovative in design and decorative in look. All items are hand made and welded in our Georgia
studio. Our product line continually changes as we update, improve and add to our offering.
